Pickup rules

ProjectFrag wants to be transparent and therefore we list all rules (both for players and admins) on this page.
If you get banned, you will be banned from all pickupchannels we have, tho you can always join #Project.Support.
If you feel treated unjoust, please contact one of the headadmins and provice sufficient proof and they will act accordingly.

The rules for players on our pickups:

  1. Spamming/flooding the pickupbot will result in a 2 day ban
  2. Always respect the team color given to you. This means you may not end up with friends or clan mates. Reason for this is simply 'coz in many proven cases it's a good team vs a bad team resulting in less skilled players will loose interest - it's all about having fun. Ignoring your team color will result in a 1 week ban.
  3. When you join the server and find out your ping is too high to play -or you have other connection issues- you are supposed to find a substitute. The best way of doing this is by typing /amsg Need a sub on #channel. Not actively searching for a sub results in a 2 day ban.
  4. Not showing up when the pickup starts -or leaving during the game- results in a 2 day ban.
  5. Exessive laming will result in a 2 week ban.
  6. Exessive whining/flaming/abusing during or after the match will result in a 2 day ban
  7. Respect the admins as they put alot of work in the pickups, making sure you can play the pickups and have fun! Abusing admins results in at least a ban of 1 week in duration.
  8. Players are allowed to leave the match during overtime, this will not result in a ban.
  9. If you added to a CTF pickup: please do not play deathmatch too much, remember the game is Capture the Flag! You can always play at a deathmatch pickup we host if you want to play deathmatch!
  10. Confirmed cheaters will get a lifetime ban. If caught on one of our servers, we will always inform clanbase.
  11. If you feel a ban was given to you while it shouldn't, contact one of the head-admins.

A list with admins can be found at our 'About us' page.

The rules/guidelines our admins use are as follows:

  1. Bans are only to be removed by the admins that added the actual ban. The pickupbots will remove the ban when the time has expired. This rule does not apply for headadmins.
  2. People are allowed to use their native language to a certain extent: please remember it is an international channel and therefore people using another language to be abusive towards a player should be warned and/or banned.
  3. It's not allowed to ban a player who has added and then removed. The reason why he/she does this does not matter. Ofcourse, doing it several times is not allowed (Players rule 1)
  4. Abuse of the adminstatus will result in losing your admin status.
  5. Admins are allowed to ban through the baninterface only! This can be found at http://www.projectfrag.com/pickupbot/. Any other ban will be considered invalid. In case the baninterface does not work, you can -for that moment- manually ban someone, please inform an headadmin of this. If you do not have access to the ban interface, contact a headadmin for an account or to recieve your password.
  6. If you have any problems with these rules or problems with other admins, contact any of the following headadmins: 750k, MoehMan, Genecom, BeasT, Sm00kah.
  7. It is not allowed to op (+o) friends or other admins (!) for obvious security reasons. If a -so called- admin does not have op, let him/her stay deopped!
  8. Don't let your personal life affect your admin skills, use common sense.
  9. ProjectFrag also hosts gameservers as a company, so we expect admins to behave professionaly.
  10. All admins are required to be in the internal channel (#Project-F.R.A.G.intern) at all times. All admin bitching can be done in there and nowhere else
  11. Always explain your ban with a comment in the ban interface.
  12. Please contact a headadmin before giving a permanent ban. You can always ban the person for a week (for example) at first. Just always contact a headadmin !
  13. These rules are open for discussion, but as they are written in here they should be applied.

Please remember that we may update this list of rules at ANY TIME. Mutations in these rules apply at the time they are published at our website (not earlier!).
