Pickupbots
What is a pickupbot?
A pickupbot is a computer controlled script that logs in on IRC pretending to be a user.
After being logged in on IRC, the bot will join a channel and serve the people in it with the possibility of adding and removing to an internal list in the bot.
When there are enough people added to that list, the bot will initiate a game, set a random password to the server and message all persons on it's internal list the server information.
What commands can i use?
There are many, many commands that our pickupbot accepts and additional commands are added regulary. The list below is far from complete and lists the most commonly used commands only.
Conventions about parameters: <> means that this parameter is required. [] means the parameter may not be given.
!add - adds yourself to the pickup
!addsub - add yourself as a substitute. If someone does not show up, you will be called to play
!remove - removes yourself from the pickup (if added)
!vote [mapname] - without parameter, this will show all maps. With a mapname as parameter, this will register your vote for a certain map
!promote - this will show a nice line with all information potention players need to join the pickup. Feel free to /amsg this line
!callsub - this will call for a substitute, if there is one.
More commands can be added at any time to this list. But these are the basic commands you need in order to play in our pickupservers.
